New Resistance 2 information

Insomniac Games has given us a little bit more to talk about today outside of the negative news released thus far. Ted Price, President of Insomniac Games, has released a bit more information on what you can expect out of Resistance 2. While some of this information has already slightly been announced, Price goes into some slight detail about it, but nothing groundbreaking.psava

As far as the 8-player co-op is concerned, Price has explained that this anticipated mode will boast its own stand-alone story and that users can expect each character within this mode to have his own unique storyline to follow. On top of this unique progression, each character will come with his own rewards as well, further giving us something to look forward to in co-op play.

Also discussed was the massive 60-player online experience and how the developers over at Insomniac are focusing on creating a more intimate battlefield. Price says they’d like for a gamer to feel the “battles within the battle” on a more personal level, so each participant feels as though they’re contributing in the larger picture.

According to Ted Price, the game is still a work in progress and is roughly six months from being retail ready. This would give Resistance 2 an expected November release window. [PSU]

LittleBigPlanet release month confirmed

After the disappointing news that Killzone 2 will be pushed back to February of 2009, it comes as a sigh of relief to learn that LittleBigPlanet is still on schedule. Expected to release in October of this year, Media Molecule and Sony have confirmed at today’s event that the game wilpsaval meet its target release date.

This user-content driven title has been on many people’s radars for the past couple of years and has been very highly anticipated. With a lot of the bigger titles seeing more than a couple of delays throughout their development, LittleBigPlanet seemed to push forward without much of a hitch. The game will play host to a strong physics environment unlike any ever seen before it and will give its users an unlimited amount of gameplay to enjoy, so long as they have an internet connection and are able to download new environments from other users. Killzone 2 pushed back beyond 2008

Posted by Nima on May 6th, 2008

Killzone 2 has officially been delayed until February of 2009. During all of the speeches being given today at PlayStation’s event day in London, it was announced that Killzone 2 will be psava pushed back. There hasn’t been much information provided as to why however they have shown new footage of the game and there will be a playable version made available to media at the event.
With Killzone 2 being considered a flagship title for the PlayStation 3, this is obviously a decent-sized blow to their 2008 lineup. However, fans should not fret as they still have a handful of titles to look forward to such as LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Resistance 2 and Motorstorm: Pacific Rift just to name a few. The iMac turns 10

Posted by Nima on May 6th, 2008

It was ten years ago today that Steve Jobs mounted the Flint Center auditorium near Apple’s campus and revealed the product that would save Apple, and become the best selling computermac_imacg5 of all time: the iMac. It is hard to believe that this cute little guy is ten years old, but it is true.
The original iMac came stocked with a 233MHz G3, 32MB of SDRAM (though you could bump it up to a whopping 128MB), a 4 gig harddrive, 2 USB ports, a CD-ROM drive (not a CD burner, Apple was late to that party), and an IrDA port. These specs might not make your heart skip a beat nowadays, but the iMac is the product that started Apple’s amazing turn around. It was the first mainstream computer to break with the past and offer only USB ports, no legacy connectors here. And it is worth noting that the iMac can also be attributed as the killer of the floppy disk.
