According to the latest Media Create hardware sales numbers for the week of June 8, thegaming-ms-nintendo-sony PlayStation 3 outsold both the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii consoles, pushing a total of 75,311 units.
Using the release of Metal Gear Solid 4 as a catalyst, the PS3 climbed the charts to the glorious number one spot. The PlayStation Portable came in second with a total of 64,675 units sold.
